Get to Know About the MCZ Diaspora Fellowships

The Methodist Church in Zimbabwe (MCZ) has been faithfully proclaiming Christ’s love since 1895—rooted in rich heritage, strong community, and Spirit-filled worship. As our people have journeyed across the globe, we’ve never lost sight of home. Today, the MCZ Diaspora Fellowships unite Zimbabwean Methodists in nine regions—Australia, Botswana, Canada, Ireland, Schengen, South Africa, UAE, UK, and USA—into one vibrant family of faith.

Our Story

Our History

From humble beginnings in Harare, Bulawayo, and beyond, MCZ grew into a national movement of worship, service, and social impact. When Zimbabweans migrated—students, professionals, families—they carried that same heartbeat:

  • Joyful Praise: Uplifting music, spontaneous prayer, and heartfelt testimony.

  • Biblical Teaching: Rooted in God’s Word, relevant to every culture and context.

  • Community Care: Deep relationships, life-on-life support, and “hands-on” compassion.

In 2011, the first Diaspora Fellowship sparked in Australia, and by 2025 we’ve blossomed into nine thriving fellowships—each uniquely shaped by local culture, yet united by our shared identity in Christ and our Zimbabwean heritage.
